Jennifer Lopez to host American Music Awards 2025: Who’s nominated and where to watch live

The 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs) are set to return with a glittering lineup of nominees, performers and celebrity appearances. With the show scheduled to air live from Las Vegas on Memorial Day, Monday, 26 May, this year’s ceremony is expected to be one of the biggest in recent memory.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar has emerged as the frontrunner with a staggering 10 nominations, followed closely by Post Malone with eight. Rising talents like Chappell Roan, Shaboozey and Billie Eilish have also earned significant recognition, each securing seven nods. Established stars including Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, SZA, Morgan Wallen, Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter have picked up six nominations apiece.

Where to watch

The 2025 American Music Awards will be broadcast live from Las Vegas on Monday, 26 May, beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. The ceremony will air on CBS and stream live on Paramount+ with SHOWTIME. For viewers without cable, a Paramount+ premium subscription offers access to the live broadcast, while the standard plan allows for on-demand viewing after the show.

Host, performances and appearances

Global superstar Jennifer Lopez will host the AMAs this year and is also slated to perform. Janet Jackson will receive the prestigious Icon Award and take the stage, while Rod Stewart is being honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award and will also perform. Additional live acts include Benson Boone, Blake Shelton, Reneé Rapp, Lainey Wilson, Gwen Stefani, and Gloria Estefan.

Presenters and guest appearances

A wide range of celebrities will be present to hand out trophies and introduce musical acts. Among those confirmed to appear are Alix Earle, Cara Delevingne, Ciara, Dan + Shay, Dylan Efron, Jordan Chiles, Kai Cenat, Megan Moroney, Nikki Glaser, Shaboozey, Tiffany Haddish, and Wayne Brady.

Although voting has now closed as of 15 May, fans won't have to wait long to see who comes out on top during this year’s celebration of the most influential voices in American music.
