Actor Jayasurya denies sexual harassment allegations, vows legal action against accusers

Actor Jayasurya has publicly denied the sexual harassment allegations levelled against him, claiming they are baseless.
In a social media post on his birthday on Sunday, he expressed his distress stating that he will take legal action against those behind the accusations.
The allegations involve two incidents, one in 2008 and another in 2013, where Jayasurya is accused of sexually harassing actresses on movie sets. The actor firmly denied these claims.
In his post, he stated that he was in the United States with his family when the accusations surfaced. He also pointed out that these baseless accusations have deeply affected him and his family.
“False allegations are easy to make for anyone who lacks a conscience and are heartless. I only hope one realises that facing a false accusation of harassment is just as painful as the harassment itself," he wrote.
The accusations against Jayasurya include claims that he groped an actress on the set of a film directed by Balachandra Menon in 2008. Another complaint alleges that he sexually harassed an actress on a movie set in Thodupuzha in 2013.
"Lies and false stories spread across the world faster than truth, but truth ultimately wins. As soon as I complete my work here, I will return and begin my legal battle to prove my innocence. I completely trust the judicial system of our country. Thanks to all of you, who made this birthday the saddest and worst day of my life. One who is without sins can throw stones, but only at sinners,” he added
The actor faces charges under Sections 354, 354A, and 509 of the Indian Penal Code, related to the allegations from the 2008 and 2013 incidents.
