Inside Selena Gomez-Benny Blanco wedding: Venue, guests, traditions, and more revealed

Pop icon Selena Gomez is reportedly getting married to music producer Benny Blanco over the weekend in an intimate ceremony, marking a new chapter in a love story that has captivated fans worldwide. The couple, who became engaged in December 2024, confirmed their engagement on Instagram with Gomez writing, "forever begins now."
According to reports, the wedding will take place at a lavish estate in Santa Barbara, with arrangements handled under strict privacy measures to ensure an intimate celebration. Guests will reportedly be kept unaware of the exact location until they are escorted there by shuttle services.
Wedding venue and security
Reports suggest the wedding will be hosted at a private Montecito estate in Santa Barbara County. Sources indicate an elaborate outdoor setup with a lounge area, a cocktail corner, and a pop-up gourmet kitchen to cater to over 170 guests. A large white marquee, wrapped in palm trees, has been installed to enhance the romantic ambience of the occasion.
For security and privacy, attendees will be picked up from the luxury El Encanto hotel, where rooms cost $3,500 per night. An insider told The Sun, "All the guests will be picked up and driven to the location without knowing their destination ahead of time. Everyone is so excited despite the mystery, they know it will be an amazing time."
Star-studded guest list
Gomez and Blanco’s wedding is expected to draw an A-list crowd, with names including Paris Hilton, Selena’s ‘Only Murders in the Building’ co-stars Martin Short, Steve Martin, and Ashley Park, as well as her best friend Taylor Swift. Earlier reports suggested Meryl Streep would attend, but she later cancelled.
Other celebrity guests rumoured to attend include Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, alongside various figures from the music and film industry such as Ed Sheeran, Paul Rudd, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Chris Martin, and Miley Cyrus.
Taylor Swift was spotted arriving in Santa Barbara on September 26, entering a black SUV after shielding herself with umbrellas. A source told Page Six that Swift is staying in a private rental home over the weekend for security reasons, though it is unclear whether her fiancé, NFL star Travis Kelce, will join her.
Pre-wedding celebrations
Gomez enjoyed a bachelorette party in Cabo San Lucas alongside close friends including Racquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook, Courtney Lopez, and her cousin Priscilla Marie. The celebrations featured a yacht outing where Gomez was spotted in a white bikini. Meanwhile, Blanco’s bachelor party took place in Las Vegas, where he stayed in a luxury villa priced at $25,000 per night.
Wedding details and traditions
The wedding rehearsal took place on September 26, a day before the ceremony, with plans for Gomez’s big day continuing to generate buzz on social media.
In April 2025, Selena Gomez revealed that she ‘doesn’t think’ she and Benny Blanco will have a traditional first dance on the “Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware” podcast.
Gomez explained that she hopes for a special dance with her maternal grandfather instead. She added that she will take part in the Jewish tradition of the Hora, saying, "I am very nervous about that… It looks so cute and adorable. But I was like, ‘What, I have to depend on something like this? I just gotta have a padding around.’"
Gomez also revealed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that Martin Short will play a big role in her wedding as the ring bearer.
Gifts and gestures
Ahead of the wedding, Gomez and Blanco received a thoughtful gift from PETA, offering a plant-based version of Blanco’s favourite snack — chips and caviar. Lisa Lange, PETA’s senior VP of communications, described it as "an animal-friendly twist on Benny’s favourite combo."
