‘I thanked him for trusting me with the role of Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda,’: Sandy Master on Dulquer Salmaan

Kollywood's beloved Sandy Master is now being hailed for his unscrupulous performance as the menacing Inspector Nachiyappa Gowda in the blockbuster Lokah Chapter: Chandra.
The ambitious film, backed by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films, directed by Dominic Arun and written by Santhy Balachandran, features Kalyani Priyadarshan as Chandra — Malayalam cinema's first female superhero. The film, with characters blended from myth and folklore, has traveled far and wide, even catching the attention of Hollywood personalities such as Priyanka Chopra. Lokah has indeed given a new trajectory to Indian cinema — something every film lover can be proud of.
Now abuzz on the internet are Sandy Master's candid revelations during a recent interview with Cinema Vikatan, in which the multifaceted film personality explains how he landed the role in Lokah.
“Saw Dulquer Salmaan and thanked him for trusting in me — he really believed I could pull off Nachiyappa. I mean, it’s not just about the director; as producer, he showed confidence in me,” Sandy Master said, thanking Dulquer Salmaan, son of Mollywood superstar Mammootty.
Hailing Dulquer for elevating Lokah to its present status, Sandy Master added, “As a producer, he never interferes and gives the director what they ask for. He’s not someone who lingers on set all the time.” He showered praise on the young superstar.
Sandy Master's kind words about Dulquer Salmaan stand out as another example of cross-industry camaraderie and respect — the very core of meaningful artistic collaborations that pave the way for reel glory to be revered for generations.
