Mumbai: Actor Bobby Darling, once known for her bold image and flamboyant personality, is back in the news after a recent interview with Telly Masala in which she said she's done with chasing love and now only seeks one thing: work.

“I don’t want to go behind young men anymore. I might get settled with an old guy but not young ones,” she admitted. “I just want work. Even if it’s a small role, I’ll give it my all. Let me survive with dignity.”

Bobby, who rose to fame in the early 2000s with her fearless on-screen presence and vibrant public persona, shared how her life took a drastic turn after her career slowed down. What stings the most, she says, is being ignored by people who once used her name for laughs, especially comedian Kapil Sharma.

“Kapil used to make jokes about me on his show, and I always took it sportingly,” she said. “But now, those earn money out of my name, and when I’m struggling and message him for help, he doesn’t even reply. I’m not asking for money – I am asking for work.”

Taking a dig at the recent attacks on Kapil’s Café in Canada, she added, “God is watching. and paying him in the way of these attacks.”

The actress, who once owned multiple properties thanks to her work in Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, said she owes everything to Kapoor. “That show gave me money, fame, everything. I bought four houses and cars,” she said. “I still hope Ekta ma’am or Bigg Boss gives me another chance. But I’m not chasing anyone anymore.”

Bobby also opened up about surviving abuse in her marriage to businessman Ramneek Sharma in 2016. “I bought him a luxury SUV, and he used my money for alcohol. He abused me, did black magic on me, and threw me out of my own house. I was even paralysed for a while,” she said. She later sold the SUV for ₹10 lakh after a court battle.

She didn’t hold back when talking about the film industry either. Bobby accused actor Raza Murad of blocking her when she asked for help in a property dispute, and said casting director Mukesh Chhabra, once her neighbour, ignored her repeated pleas for work.
