An actress has levelled serious allegations against actor Siddique, accusing him of sexual harassment. This comes at a time when the Siddique-led Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) faces scrutiny for its tepid response to the recently released Hema Committee report.

The actress claims Siddique contacted her using a different social media account, under the guise of discussing a film project. He requested a meeting at the Muscat Hotel, addressing her affectionately as "mole" (daughter). However, she later realised that the purported film project was a fabrication and alleges that Siddique used the meeting as a pretext to sexually assault her.

In a statement, the actress strongly refuted Siddique’s recent assertions, stating, "Whatever he says now is lies. I stand by my statements. What he did to me and several others is rape. He has abused me and others in a similar manner. He should examine himself before discussing criminality. He probably even lies to himself."

"No one should have to endure such a situation. I suffered from mental health issues because of it. Many people in AMMA are criminals," she added.

The actress also revealed that her friends have experienced similar harassment from Siddique.

Years ago, she had previously made #MeToo allegations against Siddique. Despite seeking legal recourse, she claims that no progress was made.
