I am not someone who would put a price on my dignity: Sonia Malhar

Actress Sonia Malhar has clarified her stance on the serious allegations she cast against a young actor. Sonia has claimed that following her revelations, false news is being spread about her. She refuted allegations that she had received money to conceal the actor's name and asserted that she is not a person who would compromise her dignity for money.

"I haven't mentioned anyone's name specifically. When the media asked me for names, I simply responded that it was not under a particular circumstance. If I have to, I will speak out in front of the media. I need to convince my family first, as their support is crucial. Many are spreading rumors that I have taken crores to keep the name hidden. I have no such need. I am not someone who would put a price on my dignity. I have clearly stated the name in front of the investigating officers. Let them investigate further. We are standing up against a big team, but I will not be intimidated by any threats. I have the freedom to expose the wrongdoing that is happening here," Sonia said.

Sonia had disclosed that a young Malayalam superstar had assaulted her in 2013 at a film location in Thodupuzha. She also mentioned facing inappropriate behavior from a comedy actor and the young actor. It was during her early days as a junior artist, and even though the pay was low, she chose to act due to her passion for cinema.
