Actress Rima Kallingal here on Friday called for the release of the Hema Commission Report. She said that the Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) took the initiative for the formation of the committee and has been leading the fight for justice ever since. She ascertained that they deserve to know the findings of the report.

‘It was our time and effort that went into the making of that report. It is not just our need, but the need of everyone else. The commission was formed by using the tax paid by the people," said the actress.

Rima said that the Kerala High Court order calling for the formation of internal complaints committee to address the sexual harassment complaints in the film industry is a thing of pride.

She pointed out that it is not just for women but for everyone in the film industry.

The producers’ associations have taken the matter seriously. There will be internal complaints redressal cells in all film sets. WCC takes pride in having played a part in this crucial decision, she added.
