Hanumankind confirms rap song for Vijay’s final film ‘Jana Nayagan’

Chennai: As filming for Jana Nayagan, actor Thalapathy Vijay’s final film, nears completion, rapper and singer Hanumankind has confirmed his involvement in the project with a specially recorded rap track.

The artist, known for his dynamic style and popular singles such as Big Dawgs and the recent release Run It Up, revealed in an interview with Ananda Vikatan that he has collaborated with music director Anirudh Ravichander for a track in the upcoming film.

“I have rendered a great rap song for Thalapathy Vijay in Jana Nayagan, composed by Anirudh,” he said, also noting that he plans to spend more time in Chennai with a string of exciting projects in the pipeline.

Jana Nayagan, directed by H. Vinoth, marks Vijay’s final appearance on screen and began production in October 2024. The final leg of the shoot is currently underway in Kodaikanal. The film features a star-studded cast including Bobby Deol, Priyamani, Pooja Hegde, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamitha Baiju, and Narain.

In addition to Anirudh’s music, the film’s technical crew includes cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan and editor Pradeep E. Ragav. Produced by Venkat K Narayana and co-produced by Lohith N K and Jagadish Palanisamy, Jana Nayagan is slated for a grand theatrical release on 9 January 2026, timed for the Pongal festival season.
