Friends help to raise money for John Paul’s treatment

Kochi: Longtime friends of scriptwriter John Paul have been united for his treatment. John Paul is under treatment for various ailments, including asphyxiation, for the last three months.

His long time friends Prof MK Sanu, Prof M Thomas Mathew, Fr Thomas Puthussery, M Mohan, CICC Jayachandran, P Ramachandran, Adv Manu Roy, Siji Rajagopal, Johnson C Abraham and Thanuja Bhattathiri are keeping in touch with his family for financial and other immediate needs of his treatment.

He is currently in the special care unit of the Lisie Hospital. Doctors said he is slightly recovering and has started to eat and talk. Also, the bypass support for shortness of breath is now used only at night.

He has been suffering from the disease for a long time. The expense for the treatment has already crossed Rs 20 Lakh, which has become unaffordable for the family. Knowing this, the friends have come forward with helping hands.

John Paul has scripted many hit movies and is well-famous for his narration of the inside stories of the Malayalam film industry in an interesting way.

Those willing to donate money for his treatment can transfer to his son-in-law’s (Jiji Abraham) account, said his friends.
