Folk melody ‘Ampampo…’ from ‘Innocent’ starring Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar released | WATCH
After the much-love "Mandakini", actors Althaf Salim and Anarkali Marikar are reuniting in the upcoming film "Innocent". A song from the film, titled 'Ampampo…', has now been released. Sung in a rustic folk style by Reshma Raghavendra, the additional composition has been done by Jay Stellar. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release in October.
"Innocent" also marks the Malayalam debut of popular social media personality Kili Paul from Tanzania. The film's first look and second look posters had already generated considerable buzz online. The recently released trailer promises a complete fun ride, hinting at a film that will deliver plenty of laughs across all age groups.
The narrative, set against the backdrop of bureaucratic red tape and the quirks of everyday life, offers humour that audiences of all ages can enjoy together. The film features an ensemble cast including Joemon Jyothir, Azees Nedumangad, Mithun, Noby, Anna Prasad, Lakshmi Sanju, Vineeth Thattil, Aswin Vijayan and Unni Lalu.
Directed by Satheesh Thanvi and produced by M. Sreeraj A.K.D under the banner Elements of Cinema. "Innocent" holds the distinction of being the first production venture from the institute, Elements of Cinema, which provides students an opportunity to learn filmmaking while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
The film's executive Producers are G. Marthandan, Ajay Vasudev, Dixon Poduthas and Najumuddeen. The story is by Shihab Karunagappally. The screenplay & Dialogues were handled by Shihab Karunagappally, Sarji Vijayan, and Satheesh Thanvi.
