New Delhi: A viral video featuring Alexander Stubb and Mark Carney has captured widespread attention online, with the Finnish President revealing that his Instagram popularity in India surged after he mentioned watching the Bollywood film 'Dhurandhar'.

Viral video from London jog gains traction

The clip, shared on social media by Stubb, shows the two leaders jogging through Hyde Park during Carney’s official visit to the UK, accompanied by their spouses.

During the run, Carney is heard asking Stubb about his growing social media traction in India. Responding casually, Stubb says his Instagram response was “huge” after he spoke about watching 'Dhurandhar'.

The exchange — “How is your Insta thing in India?” — followed by Stubb’s reply — “Huge, after I said I watched 'Dhurandhar'” — has since gone viral, drawing reactions across Indian social media platforms.

About 'Dhurandhar' and its sequel

'Dhurandhar', directed by Aditya Dhar, is an espionage thriller inspired by real events, centred on an Indian undercover agent operating in Karachi to dismantle a terror network.

Its sequel, 'Dhurandhar 2', continues the storyline, following protagonist Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, as he navigates deeper into Pakistan’s underworld.

The film stars Ranveer Singh in a lead role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. The sequel expands on themes of covert operations, personal conflict and revenge, with a strong focus on action and narrative continuity.
