Fans walk out, demand refunds as Madhuri Dixit arrives late to Canada event

Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit has come under fire after reportedly arriving nearly three hours late to a live event during her Canada tour, sparking widespread outrage among attendees. Frustrated fans took to social media to criticise both the organisers and the actress, calling the show “poorly organised” and “a waste of time.”
A video circulating online shows Madhuri performing on stage, with text overlaid on the clip reading, “If I could give you one piece of advice, it’s to not attend the Madhuri Dixit tour... save your money.” Many who attended the show said the event began around 10 p.m., despite tickets indicating a 7:30 p.m. start time.
One attendee wrote, “I am glad I saw her, but left at 11:05 pm as I had work the next day. I honestly dont know if it was the organizers or her that decided for her to come at 10pm. On my ticket, it said the start time was 7:30pm. It did not state any pre-shows. I expected it to be a chat, with some singing and dancing. It just started way too late and disrespected the audience time.”
Another dissatisfied fan added, “Worst show one can ever go to, least worried about the audience time. 3 hours late and then full of lame talks.”
Several users also demanded refunds and even encouraged fellow attendees to file formal complaints with Consumer Protection Ontario, accusing the promoters of “cheating and fraud.” One user wrote, “This was the worst show ever. So unorganized. Advertisement didn't say she was just going to chat and dance 2 seconds of each song. Very very poorly organized by the promoters. So many people walked out. People yelling for a refund and boring. Doesn't matter that she is a beautiful actress and person everyone that went to the show has to agree it was poorly organized.”
The backlash follows a similar controversy earlier this year when singer Neha Kakkar was criticised for arriving late to her Melbourne concert. The singer later apologised, citing mismanagement and poor coordination by the event organisers.
As of now, neither Madhuri Dixit nor her team has issued an official statement addressing the controversy surrounding the Canada event.
