Fan frenzy turns chaotic; fire breaks out during Prabhas film screening

Odisha: Celebrations and devotion among Prabhas fans in Odisha went overboard during the screening of his latest film, ‘The Rajasab’. A fire broke out inside the Rayagada Ashok Talkies theatre.

Fans had arrived with firecrackers and arati plates to celebrate Prabhas’ on-screen entry. During the hero’s entry scene, small firecrackers were ignited by the fans, which led to the fire. Video footage shows fans attempting to extinguish the flames themselves.

The fire occurred right in front of the screen. Frightened audience members attempted to flee the theatre. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The Rajasab, a horror-fantasy film starring Prabhas, was released on Friday. The film has been released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

The cast includes Serena Wahab, Sanjay Dutt, with lead actresses Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agarwal and Riddhi Kumar.
