Even thought about quitting RDX: Neeraj Madhav opens up about suffering injury during fight scene

Malayali film enthusiasts were in for a treat this Onam season as debutant Nahas Hidhayath’s action-entertainer ‘RDX: Robert Dony Xavier’ garnered positive responses and grossed Rs 100 crore in the box office worldwide. Now, Neeraj Madhav, one of the lead stars of the movie, has revealed that he had met with a serious leg injury during the shoot and had even thought about quitting the film.
Taking to social media, Neeraj shared a video in which he detailed about the injury, treatment and recovery, and wrote in caption, “The only time it’s over is when you give up. Thanks to the very few who believed in me, and thanks to the whole lot who doubted, undermined and laughed at me…It was only fueling my ambition ! If you really want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it (emoji).”
He added, “Some things are in our control & others are not, but this time things were in my favour & I’ve got immense gratitude for that. I will never take this success for granted and will keep working my ass off by constantly trying to improve & reinvent. Once again, thank you all (folding hands emoji).”
RDX, produced under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters owned by Sophia Paul, also stars Shane Nigam, Mahima Nambiar, Antony Varghese, Babu Antony among others in significant roles. The film, which hit the big screens on August 25, is now available on OTT.
