Drishyam 3 OTT release: When and where to watch Mohanlal’s thriller online

Georgekutty, one of Malayalam cinema’s most iconic characters, is set to make his return to audiences at home as Drishyam 3 prepares for its digital debut. The thriller, directed by Jeethu Joseph and starring Mohanlal, will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 18 June.

In addition to Malayalam, the film will also be available in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada.

Drishyam 3 was released in cinemas on 21 May, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday, and will arrive on OTT platforms after completing four weeks in theatres. Alongside its theatrical earnings, the film reportedly generated more than ₹300 crore through combined box-office, satellite and streaming rights revenue. It crossed the ₹100 crore mark within 58 hours of release and entered the ₹200 crore club within its first week.

The Drishyam franchise remains one of the most celebrated thriller series in Malayalam cinema. The original film was released in 2013, introducing audiences to Georgekutty and his family. Eight years later, Drishyam 2 arrived in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic and was released directly on OTT. Despite bypassing cinemas, the sequel received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers and critics alike.

Written and directed by Jeethu Joseph, Drishyam 3 features a strong ensemble cast, including Meena, Siddique, Murali Gopy, Esther Anil and Ansiba Hassan alongside Mohanlal.
