Diwali special poster of ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ unveiled featuring Arya in fiery avatar

The makers of the big-budget political drama ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ have released a striking Diwali special poster, offering a powerful glimpse into the film’s intense world.
The poster showcases actor Arya with a blood-streaked face and blazing eyes, standing amid flying sparks, exuding raw fury. Behind him looms the Kerala Secretariat along with the statue of freedom fighter Velu Thampi Dalawa, hinting at a politically charged narrative set against the state’s power corridors.
Written by acclaimed screenwriter Murali Gopy, ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ is directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, marking their reunion after the 2017 film ‘Tiyaan’. The story is believed to explore Kerala’s political dynamics through a layered, intense storyline.
The film is produced by S. Vinod Kumar under the Mini Studio banner, following the success of his previous venture ‘Mark Antony’.
Star cast and crew
The film features Arya in the lead role alongside an ensemble cast that includes Indrans, Murali Gopy, Sunil (of ‘Pushpa’ fame), Appani Sarath, Nikhila Vimal, Dev Mohan, Sagar Surya, Regina Cassandra, Santhy Balachandran, Ajay, and Kannada actor Achyuth Kumar, among others.
Set in Thiruvananthapuram, ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ is a bilingual project, releasing in both Malayalam and Tamil, aiming to connect with a pan-Indian audience through its powerful storytelling and diverse cast.
Cinematography is handled by S. Yuva, editing by Rohith VS Variyath, and music by B Ajaneesh Loknath.
B Ajaneesh Loknath’s Malayalam debut
The film also marks the Malayalam debut of celebrated music composer B Ajaneesh Loknath, known for his widely acclaimed score in both parts of ‘Kantara’.
Ajaneesh began his career with the Kannada film ‘Shishira’ in 2009 and has since composed for several major films including ‘Akira’, ‘Kirik Party’, ‘Bell Bottom’, ‘Avane Srimannarayana’, ‘Dia’, ‘Vikrant Rona’, ‘Gandhada Gudi’, ‘Kaiva’, ‘Yuva’, and ‘Bagheera’. In Tamil, he has worked on projects like ‘Kurangu Bommai’, ‘Richie’, ‘Nimir’, and ‘Maharaja’, besides a few Telugu films.
His work for ‘Kantara’ earned international acclaim, and his recent compositions for ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ continue to receive praise from audiences.
The teaser of ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ has already created buzz on social media, with viewers praising its grand visuals and intense tone. Earlier, the film’s first-look and character posters were met with enthusiastic responses, further fuelling anticipation.
