As BLACKPINK prepare to release their comeback mini album ‘Deadline’, a new viral clip from their ongoing world tour has ignited debate among fans about the group’s dynamics. The four-member act–Lisa, Jennie, Rosé and Jisoo–remain one of K-pop’s most influential global girl groups. But a moment caught on stage has prompted concern about whether Jisoo is being left out by the other members.

Viral clip sparks speculation

The controversy erupted after footage from the ‘Deadline’ Tour circulated widely online. In the video, all four members are seated at the edge of the stage, singing together. However, viewers noted that Rosé, Lisa and Jennie appeared to be interacting with each other, seemingly leaving Jisoo on the periphery.

Initially positioned beside Rosé, Jisoo can be seen smiling while the other three engage among themselves. She then stands and moves to sit near Jennie, but the trio continue their interaction without acknowledging her. Jisoo eventually turns towards fans on the opposite side of the venue and begins engaging with them instead.

The moment has led to widespread discussion about whether Jisoo was intentionally excluded, or if fans are misreading a brief on-stage interaction.

Fans divided over ‘ignored’ Jisoo claims

Social media users reacted strongly to the clip. Some argued that Jisoo was being sidelined because she is “less famous” internationally than the other three. One user wrote on X: "3/4 are well known internationally and they know it."

Supporters defended Jisoo, with one claiming the others were jealous, stating she is “the best in the group.” Others compared the moment to a “mean girls vibe,” arguing the trio made the exclusion “way too obvious.”

However, several BLINKs pushed back against the accusations. One fan noted that Jisoo had been sitting at the far end and Jennie was focused on singing, adding that the members did acknowledge her vocally.

Renewed concerns about BLACKPINK's future

The debate comes at a sensitive time for the group. BLACKPINK’s mini album ‘Deadline’ is due for release on 26 February, while 2026 also marks the end of their contract with YG Entertainment. With no official announcement yet on whether the group will renew, speculation about a potential disbandment has intensified.

All four members have thriving solo careers, and fans fear they may focus on individual paths. Against this backdrop, the viral clip has fuelled theories that there may be tension within the group–especially as Jisoo supporters have previously felt she received limited backing from the members, such as during the release of her collaboration with Zayn Malik.

Despite the online uproar, there is no evidence that the moment reflects deeper issues within BLACKPINK. Stage interactions are often fluid, and many fans insist the clip is being misinterpreted.
