‘Come mone… he’s hiding there’: Mohanlal introduces Antony Perumbavoor’s son Ashish at daughter Vismaya’s film launch

Fans are buzzing with excitement over Mohanlal’s daughter Vismaya Mohanlal, making her cinematic debut. But today, the superstar introduced another key actor from the same film to the audience — Ashish Antony, the son of Mohanlal’s friend and producer Antony Perumbavoor. Mohanlal revealed that the introduction happened quite spontaneously.

“I’m going to call someone up on this stage. He plays a very important character in this film, and it’s none other than Antony’s son. Come on… he’s hiding there. This was entirely unplanned. When we were going through the script, I asked him if he could take on this role. He has done a role in a previous film as well,” Mohanlal shared.

“Right now, mon (son) is in Dubai. Antony asked whether we should tell anyone about this. Well, it had to come out eventually. Antony is proud, and I wish both of them all the best,” he added.

The launch pooja for Vismaya Mohanlal’s debut film took place on Thursday morning at Kochi’s Crown Plaza. Actor and sibling Pranav Mohanlal gave the first clap, while Suchitra Mohanlal switched on the ceremonial lamp. The film, titled Thudakkam, is directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Ashirvad Cinemas banner, with music by Jakes Bijoy and cinematography by Jomon T John.
