Britney Spears says she wants a ‘new family’; accuses family of mistreatment in Instagram post

Pop star Britney Spears has made fresh allegations against her family, accusing them of mistreating her and claiming that she was made to feel like a 'slave'. The singer shared her thoughts in a lengthy Instagram post, expressing her frustration over what she described as painful experiences involving her family members.

Spears accompanied the post with a still from the film ‘Uptown Girls’, featuring a child raising a middle finger. In the caption, she spoke about her sister Jamie Lynn Spears and former husband Kevin Federline, making claims about how they treated her during visits and interactions with her family.

“I will find a new family !!! Jamie Lynn never let me hold Ivy one time when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two week trips and Kevin wouldn’t let me use the bathroom when I would pick my children up in their house”.

She went on to allege that she had been treated unfairly despite years of working for her father.

“They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad !!! I will find a new family”.

This is not the first time Spears has used social media to speak about experiences that have left her upset. In an earlier Instagram post, the singer described an incident during a recent outing, alleging that she was deliberately kept waiting before being taken outside, where photographers were ready to capture her.

She shared a meme bearing the words, “OMG !!!! YOU SCARED THE S**T OUT OF ME”, and accompanied it with a lengthy caption. In the post, Spears expressed frustration over what she perceived as a planned situation, sarcastically thanking those around her for making her feel “beautiful” before criticising the experience.

“Don’t just understand, take the time each day and second to REALLY UNDERSTAND how loved each and every one of us are. So loved in a country where we as humanity are never plotted against.

“Know you might have to stay in the ladies room a bit longer because for some reason your instincts tell you the security you’re with has oddly made it an extra 15 minutes for your food to be paid for”.

She also described the food served during the outing as cold and suggested that the delay was part of what she called a “huge set up”.

“Dear Jesus knows the real innocence on my face to proceed with only food that’s supposed to be served hot but is dreadfully cold … Just happy to be there. When I decide to leave, a birdie tells me, ‘Yo inspector gadget! Remember that pink panther in grade school?’… Huge set up”, she added.

Spears further claimed that after leaving the bathroom, she was made to wait outside for photographs. The posts have once again brought attention to the singer's strained family relationships and her public comments about her personal experiences.
