Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid are wearing wedding bands. So why won't anyone say they're ‘married’?
Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid just gave the internet something to obsess over, matching rings, a Paris stroll, and zero explanation.
The couple, together since October 2023, stepped out hand-in-hand in Paris on Monday, August 3, and both were sporting thin bands on their left ring fingers.
Cooper wore a simple gold band and Hadid had on what looked like a white gold or platinum ring, some reports describing it as subtly dotted along the edge. Neither look was hidden, the two were photographed heading to the gym together (rings on full display, even mid-workout), and later that evening at dinner at Loulou, again with the bands clearly visible.
That's notably different from just two days earlier, when Cooper was photographed solo at the gym with bare hands.
Neither Cooper nor Hadid has publicly commented on the speculation that they may have tied the knot.
A slow build to this moment
Cooper and Hadid have kept their nearly three-year relationship fairly private, but the timeline has quietly built toward something serious:
October 2023: Sparks fly at Via Carota in NYC on October 5, followed by an off-Broadway date on November 1 and a girls' night out on November 4 that included Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez.
January 2024: Hadid meets Cooper's mom, Gloria Campano, at a dinner following the Golden Globes on January 7.
January 25, 2024: The pair confirms the romance publicly, holding hands in London.
March 2024: More PDA back at Via Carota, plus a Broadway date night at Sweeney Todd.

April 2025: They finally go Instagram official, with Hadid posting a kiss at her 30th birthday party.

October 2025: Hadid publicly gushes over Cooper on Instagram while celebrating the premiere of his directorial film, ‘Is This Thing On?’
April 2026: Cooper sends Hadid an elaborate flower arrangement for her 31st birthday; she posts it with a simple caption about her guy.
July 2026: The two attend Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding together at Madison Square Garden, notably, no rings visible on either of them that night.
Sources who spoke to outlets over the past year painted a picture of a couple in no hurry. An insider told Entertainment Tonight last year that they were comfortable where things stood and weren't racing toward the next step, even though they both saw a long-term future together. A separate source told People in August 2025 that they weren't rushing, adding the relationship was solid and that the pair had discussed blending their lives more without pushing the timeline.
Hadid has also spoken about the relationship herself. In a March 2025 Vogue interview, she said she felt lucky to have found someone equally clear on what they wanted out of a partnership. She's also credited Cooper with encouraging her creatively.
Both stars bring kids into the picture, Hadid shares 5-year-old daughter Khai with ex Zayn Malik, while Cooper shares 9-year-old daughter Lea with ex Irina Shayk. Cooper was also previously married to actress Jennifer Esposito from 2006 to 2007.
So, are they wedding rings? Engagement rings? Some kind of promise between the two of them that has nothing to do with a trip down the aisle? Nobody's saying, yet.
