Bhoot Bangla trailer out: How is Priyadarshan’s long-awaited Bollywood comeback shaping up?

The trailer of Bhoot Bangla has been released, marking the reunion of actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after 14 years. The film is their seventh collaboration, with their last outing together being Khatta Meetha in 2010.
Priyadarshan’s return to Bollywood direction after Hungama 2 (2021) places the project in a notable position within his filmography. Known for his work in comedy, the filmmaker appears to revisit the horror-comedy space, combining humour with supernatural elements.
The film features a cast that includes Tabu, Paresh Rawal, Asrani, Rajpal Yadav and Wamiqa Gabbi alongside Akshay Kumar. The ensemble brings together actors with established experience in comic roles, suggesting a performance-driven narrative.
Bhoot Bangla has been shot across multiple locations, including Chomu Palace in Jaipur, which was also used in Bhool Bhulaiyaa, another well-known Akshay Kumar–Priyadarshan collaboration. Additional filming took place in Mumbai and London, indicating a wider production scope.
The trailer suggests the use of visual effects to support the horror elements of the story, while maintaining a comedic tone. The blend of genres aims to balance light-hearted moments with suspense-driven sequences.
The film is scheduled to release in theatres on April 16, 2026.
