‘Beware of such...’ Rakul Preet Singh hits back at Instagram doctor; Slams viral plastic surgery post
Actor Rakul Preet Singh has publicly criticised a self-proclaimed doctor on social media after he alleged that she had undergone cosmetic procedures, calling such claims misleading and irresponsible.
The controversy began after an Instagram user named Dr Prashant Yadav, who identifies himself in his bio as a board-certified plastic and cosmetic surgeon, shared a post comparing photographs and videos of the actor. In the post, Yadav claimed that Singh had undergone botox, fillers and a nose job.
He further alleged that the actor avoided discussing what he described as her “real transformation” and instead spoke publicly about fitness.

Rakul Preet Singh reshared the video on her Instagram story and strongly objected to the claims, stating that such content only misleads people.
“Fraud alert: it's scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misleading people,” she wrote.

The actor, who was recently seen in De De Pyaar De 2, clarified that she does not judge others for opting for cosmetic procedures. However, she stressed that changes in her appearance were the result of weight loss and consistent effort rather than surgery.
“Being an actor who understands ancient and modern science I have no issues if people do surgeries but there is also another thing called weigh loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that ? (Beware Of Such Doctors),” she said.
By speaking out, she highlighted concerns over individuals making medical claims about public figures without verification, warning fans and followers to be cautious of what they see and hear on social media.
