‘Became a mother, baby turns one’: Actress Padmapriya shares heartwarming news

Actress Padmapriya has revealed that she has embraced motherhood, choosing her child’s first birthday to share the joyful news with the world. Celebrating the milestone, the actress took to social media to share tender pictures featuring her baby’s tiny hands.

Accompanying the post was a heartfelt caption: "365 days of life." Padmapriya also included meaningful hashtags such as #Gratitude, #OurStory and #LittleMoments.

One of the images shared by the actress shows a tiny hand nestled inside two larger palms, while another captures the infant’s hand tightly clutching its mother's dress. Padmapriya has chosen to keep her baby's face private and has not disclosed the child's gender.
 

The actress had previously kept both her pregnancy and the birth a private affair. The revelation came only after the child completed their first year. She tagged her partner Jasmine Shah in the announcement post.

Messages of congratulations poured in beneath the post from fans and peers alike. Actress Abhirami commented, "You know I love you and the baby," to which Padmapriya warmly replied, "We got this because of you and R." Several other prominent actors, including Rima Kallingal, Bhama, Sona Nair, Samvrutha Sunil and Parvathy Thiruvothu, also shared their love and reactions to the post.

Padmapriya married Gujarat native Jasmine Shah in 2014 during a ceremony held in Mumbai. Jasmine Shah currently serves as the South Asia Head of Policy at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Padmapriya made her acting debut in the Telugu film Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi, a remake of the popular Malayalam film Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum, which starred Kalabhavan Mani. Her debut in Malayalam cinema came with Kaazhcha. Over the years, she has worked across multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali. She was also recently in the news following her resignation from AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists).
