I got married for certificate at 21: Actor Bala breaks silence on 4-time marriage allegations

Singer Amrutha Suresh had previously made headlines with her allegations that actor Bala had married another woman before marrying her, and that she only learned about this just before their wedding. These statements resurfaced a month ago after Bala’s recent marriage with cousin Kokila, sparking discussions on social media.
It was speculated that Bala’s marriage to Kokila was his fourth and that he had first married a woman from Karnataka named Chandana Sadashiva Reddy.
In response to these allegations, Bala addressed the claims in an interview to a private online media outlet. He strongly denied the accusations, calling it baseless. According to Bala, Kokila is the second person he has legally married, and the claims about his past marriages are untrue.
Bala clarified the situation, stating, “They are lying about me. Am I really a four-time married man? Kokila is only the second person I have legally married. The girl they’re referring to, Chandana Sadashiva Reddy, is someone I fell in love with when I was young."
Bala further explained that he and Chandana had known each other since they were in sixth grade. He added, "We studied together since the sixth grade. I told her (Amrutha) this myself. I got married at the age of 21 just for a certificate. I said this myself. That marriage was later annulled."
Bala also commented on the misunderstanding surrounding Chandana's origins, stating, “If you say 'Reddy,' it usually means Telugu, not Kannada. So why is everyone calling her from Karnataka? We (Bala and Chandana) just laughed when all this news came out. She even called me from the United States."
