‘Avengers: Doomsday’ leak: 28 character designs revealed from production gift bag

A new leak from the production of Avengers: Doomsday has given Marvel fans their first official glimpse of the costumes for 28 characters featured in the highly anticipated film. The leak originated from a production gift bag distributed to crew members, adorned with detailed artwork showcasing the characters in their new outfits, revealing costume designs for both returning MCU favourites and classic X-Men characters, alongside a surprise appearance by Franklin Richards as a baby.
The image, shared initially by Avengers: Doomsday makeup artist Giovanna Ponci, showcases a range of beloved heroes and villains. Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, sports a look reminiscent of his Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War appearances, featuring short hair and golden pauldrons. The Fantastic Four – Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) – appear in updated comic-inspired costumes, including sleek jackets rather than traditional spandex suits.
One of the most exciting aspects of the leak is the presentation of classic X-Men costumes. Iconic characters like Cyclops (James Marsden), Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen), Mystique (Rebecca Romijn), Nightcrawler (Alan Cumming), Beast (Kelsey Grammer), and Gambit (Channing Tatum) are all shown wearing designs faithful to their comic book origins. Notably, Mystique’s costume moves away from the signature nude look of past films towards a more covered design, while Nightcrawler opts for a comic-accurate appearance over his previous trench coat.
Additional MCU heroes shown include Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes, Letitia Wright’s Shuri as Black Panther, Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston’s Loki, and Anthony Mackie’s Captain America. Villains like Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom wear costumes matching earlier promotional leaks, confirming his central role in the story.
Also featured is a young child believed to be Franklin Richards, the son of Reed and Sue, hinting at his growing importance in the MCU’s expanding family saga.
Fans have greeted the leak with enthusiasm, praising the comic book-accurate costumes and the blend of classic and modern design elements. This first look teaser sets high expectations for Avengers: Doomsday, which promises to unite a vast ensemble of heroes and villains in what is shaping up to be one of the MCU’s most ambitious crossover events.
Avengers: Doomsday is set for release on December 18, 2026, and this artwork leak gives audiences an exciting preview of the cinematic spectacle ahead.
