A new fantasy film is set to make its way into Malayalam cinema — ‘Kakulstha Part 1’. The film, which will have multiple parts, is written and directed by Aneesh Lee Ashok under the banner of Golden Pictures as a pan-Indian project.

The makers released the first-look poster of the film today. Interestingly, the lead actor’s identity has not yet been revealed, keeping fans intrigued and building excitement around the announcement.

‘Kakulstha Part 1’ marks Aneesh Lee Ashok’s return to screenwriting after the 2014 Malayalam hit Ithihasa, for which he wrote the screenplay.

Described as a universal, realistic fantasy-comedy, the film will feature several prominent actors from the Malayalam industry. ‘Kakulstha Part 1’ is slated for a Diwali 2026 theatrical release.
