Ashish Vidyarthi, wife injured in road accident; actor’s video sheds light on health condition

Veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi and his wife, Rupali Baruah, sustained injuries after being struck by a speeding motorcycle while crossing the street near Zoo Tiniali in Guwahati on Friday night, January 2.

The couple had visited a private hotel near the Zoo Tiniali junction for dinner. As they crossed the road, a two-wheeler travelling from Dispur towards Chandmari hit them. Vidyarthi suffered a leg injury, while Baruah sustained a head injury. Both were taken to a private hospital for treatment and are now stable, with Baruah remaining under observation.

Biker’s condition and investigation

The motorcycle rider was seriously injured in the collision and rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital. Initial assessments revealed he was bleeding and in critical condition. A subsequent breathalyser test confirmed he was intoxicated at the time of the accident. The motorcycle has been seized by Geetanagar traffic police.

Vidyarthi addresses fans

On Saturday, Vidyarthi reassured fans via social media live that both he and his wife are fine. He described the incident as minor, noting that the biker had regained consciousness, and thanked supporters for their well wishes.
