Arjun Ashokan starrer ‘Thalavara’ to hit theatres on 22 August

‘Thalavara’, starring Arjun Ashokan in the lead, will release in theatres on 22 August. Set against the distinctive dialect of Palakkad, the film's charming teaser recently went viral on social media. Notably, the film presents Arjun Ashokan in a look unlike any of his previous roles.

Produced by Mahesh Narayanan and Shebin Backer, the duo behind several Malayalam blockbusters, ‘Thalavara’ is directed by Akhil Anilkumar.

Under the banners of Shebin Backer Productions and Moving Narratives, the film features Revathy Sarma as the female lead. With Mahesh Narayanan, the acclaimed director of ‘Take Off’, ‘C U Soon’, ‘Malik’, and ‘Ariyippu’, Shebin Backer is joining forces, who has produced hits such as ‘Charlie’, ‘Take Off’, ‘Thanneer Mathan Dinangal’ and ‘Super Sharanya’.

Following the warm reception to the first song, 'Kandu Kandu Poochendu Then Vandu Pole Vannu Ninnu…', the recently released track 'Elakozhiye…' has also taken social media by storm.

The film's cast also includes Ashokan, Devadarshini Chetan, Sharath Sabha, Athira Mariam, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Prasanth Murali, Sam Mohan, Harish Kumar, Sohan Seenulal, Shaju Sreedhar, Vishnu Raghu, Muhammed Rafi, Manoj Moses, Shebin Benson, Ashwath Lal, Amith Mohan Rajeshwari, among others.

The story is by Akhil Anilkumar. Both Akhil Anilkumar and Appu Aslam have co-written the screenplay.
