Canadian police have arrested 25-year-old Abhijeet Kingra from Winnipeg in connection with a shooting incident that occurred outside the home of Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon. Kingra has been charged with "discharge of a firearm with intent" and "arson" following the events of September 20, 2024, when gunfire was directed at a residence and two vehicles were set ablaze on Ravenwood Road in Colwood.

Kingra was arrested in Ontario and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. Authorities have also issued a warrant for 23-year-old Vikram Sharma, who is believed to have fled to India. Although police do not have an image of Sharma, they have provided identifying details: he is described as a South Asian male, approximately 5'9" tall and weighing around 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

In a recent video statement, a Canadian officer detailed the arrest and the ongoing investigation. "On October 30th, 2024, a man was arrested and later charged in connection with recklessly discharging a firearm into a residence as well as setting fire to two vehicles in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Road, Colwood, on September. The crime occurred on September 20, 2024," the Canadian Police said in an official statement.

A purported video of the incident is also doing rounds on the internet showing multiple rounds being fired and vehicles ablaze.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for the attack, asserting it was in retaliation for Dhillon's collaboration with Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a music video. This notorious gang, which is under investigation for various serious crimes, including the murders of Sidhu Moose Wala and Baba Siddique, has also issued threats against Khan.
