Actor Antony Varghese delivers 'hard punch' in epic boxing match with Achu Baby John | WATCH

A star-studded professional boxing match took place at Lulu Mall in Kochi on Monday, featuring actor Antony Varghese and Achu Baby John, son of former Minister Shibu Baby John. The event was organized by the Kerala Boxing Council as part of the International Professional Boxing Championship.

The match between Antony Varghese, preparing for his upcoming film 'Daveed', and Achu Baby John, was the highlight of the championship held across 13 categories. Both fighters were declared winners in the highly intense and closely contested match.

The two entered the ring wearing jerseys from the film 'Daveed', in which they both make their acting debut. The movie, based on boxing, provided an interesting backdrop for the fight, which proved to be more intense than the cinematic version.

During the second round, a punch from Antony Varghese hit Achu Baby John in the stomach. The referee intervened, and the match, originally set for four rounds, was shortened to two rounds by the officials.

This event marked the first professional boxing match featuring a Malayalam film star, adding to its unique significance.
