I wear what I like: Amala Paul responds to criticism over her dress at college function

The Christian Association and Alliance for Social Action (CASA) has criticised actress Amala Paul's attire during a recent college function, claiming in a social media post that "it was a Christian management college and not a dance bar in Mumbai."

In response, Amala Paul addressed the issue during a press conference for the film ‘Level Cross’, which she was promoting at the college. When asked about the criticism, she stated, "I wear what I like and feel comfortable in. I don’t think there was anything wrong or inappropriate with my dress. Perhaps how it was portrayed on camera might seem inappropriate, but that’s not under my control. I wore what I liked."

Actors Amala Paul and Asif Ali visited Ernakulam St. Albert's College as part of the film's promotion. During this event, Asif Ali addressed the Ramesh Narayanan controversy, and Amala Paul expressed her support for how he handled the situation.

Following this CASA posted a video and wrote "If you had any courage, you two priests should have walked out from the front row of the audience! Regardless of how famous the actress is, she was invited to the event at a Christian management college, not for the opening of a dance bar in Mumbai!..."
