‘Always there to hold your hands Ozy...’ Sindhu Krishnakumar pens emotional note to daughter Diya amid legal storm

Thiruvananthapuram: Sindhu Krishnakumar, took to Instagram to publicly support her daughter, social media influencer Diya Krishna, as the jewellery store owner faced serious legal allegations.
Diya, eight months pregnant, is at the centre of a dispute involving accusations of fraud, kidnapping, and threats connected to her store, ‘Oh by Ozy.’
In an emotional Instagram post, Sindhu described her daughter as “a strong woman almost like a tigress,” despite the stress of recent days and her late-stage pregnancy.
Sindhu contrasted this fierce new strength with how Diya appeared earlier “weak and tired” writing: “Didn't expect the last few days before your delivery would be one roller coaster ride…from the weak and tired Ozy, I was able to see a strong woman almost like a tigress who was wrongly hurt for trusting people blindly.”
Sindhu praised the resilience of their family, highlighting the loving support Diya received from her sisters.
“My heart is full to have witnessed how our family stood strong for each other … Always remember Ammu, Ishaani and Hansu will always be there for you,” she wrote.
She also extended thanks to the community for their support.
“Finally lots of gratitude and love to all our well wishers for your support and prayers.”
The post also honoured Diya’s father Krishna Kumar.
“Kitchu was the strongest father any girl would want to have…”
Concluding on a hopeful note, she reassured Diya,“always there to hold your hands Ozy.”
What sparked the controversy
The Krishnakumar family’s jewellery shop became embroiled in allegations after three female staff members were accused of defrauding the store of ₹69 lakh by swapping official QR scanners with their own, diverting payments to personal accounts
In response, the employees filed counter-claims accusing Diya, her father G Krishnakumar, and others of kidnapping, extortion, and caste-based harassment
Diya had firmly denied the claims of kidnapping and threats, stating that no credible evidence has been produced.
