Alphonse Puthren to make cameo appearance in Arun Vaiga's next project

Director Alphonse Puthren is making a return to acting in a new film directed by Arun Vaiga. This marks a significant departure as it's the first time Alphonse will appear in a film not directed by himself. He had earlier made a cameo appearance in his superhit movie 'Premam'.
The announcement was made via a video released on Arun Vaiga's official Instagram account, where he expressed his excitement and gratitude for collaborating with the Premam director.
"‘Premam’ is one of the films that captured my heart. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it, and I've always wished to meet everyone involved in its making. Later, I became close with actors Siju Wilson, Shabareesh Varma, and Vishnu Govind. It’s wonderful that Rajesh Murugesan is composing the music for our new film. Alphonse Puthren came to mind as I wrote the character, and it’s truly wonderful to see him as part of my project. He treated me like an old friend, and I can't express how wonderful our time together was. Thank you so much, bro. I hope you return with a movie much bigger than Neram, Premam and Gold. I wish it all the success and pray for its greatness. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for responding to my call and joining us on screen," he said.
Arun Vaiga, known for his directorial debut 'Chembarathipoo' in 2017, has roped in a diverse cast for this new project, produced by Ann, Sajeev, and Alexander Mathew under the banners of Fragrant Nature Film Creations and Pooyapilly Films. The film features Ranjith Sajeev in the lead role alongside a talented ensemble including Johnny Antony, Indrans, Manju Pillai, Sangeetha, and others.
The cinematography is handled by Sinoj P Ayyappan and Arun Vaiga himself, while Rajesh Murugesan, known for his work in 'Neram' and 'Premam', is composing the music. The film is currently filmed in various locations including Erattupetta, Munnar, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, and Chennai.
