Chaos at 'Good Bad Ugly' screening: Disco light falls, show temporarily halted

A screening of Ajith Kumar’s new film 'Good Bad Ugly' turned chaotic at a Chennai theatre after a lighting fixture came loose and nearly hit a child. The incident took place at Vettri Theatres, where a disco light installed inside the auditorium became unsteady and almost fell on a young kid sitting in the audience, according to media reports.
As soon as the light came loose, the screening was stopped, and theatre staff rushed in to check on the child, as reported by Thanthi TV. The show was paused for around 30 minutes while the situation was brought under control.
The theatre had been specially decorated for the film's release, with disco balls and vibrant lighting. One of these lights reportedly came crashing down and narrowly missed the child. The young one started crying and screaming, which led to panic among the audience.
The child’s family checked for injuries and questioned the theatre staff about safety precautions. They demanded to know what would have happened if the light had actually hit the child. Tensions rose, and the police were reportedly called in to handle the situation. After a short commotion, both sides seemed to reach an understanding, and the screening resumed.
