Producer and actress Sandra Thomas has questioned why all the organizations linked to the film industry are remaining silent on the Hema Committee report. In a social media post, Sandra urged film organizations to clarify their stance on the issue and explain what remedial measures are being taken based on the committee's findings.

Film organizations should clarify their position. For whom are all the organizations keeping silent on the Hema committee report which is being discussed all over Kerala? It means that all organizations are suspected of being dominated by the 15-member power group that the committee reports. It is relevant here that the Competitive Commission mentioned such a power group years ago. Everyone, including me, knows that it doesn't take a week to study a report. Malayalam cinema, which has given many talents to the world cinema, is being ridiculed in front of the general society. All the film organizations have a role in this situation. If we do not clarify our stance, the general public will throw stones at us. Based on the committee report, what remedial measures are being taken by these organizations should be clarified in public”, said Sandra Thomas.
