Navya Nair stumbles upon hidden tea shop in Pala, praises its Pazham Pori and beef curry

Banana fritters (pazhampori) with beef is a highly popular food combination in our region. This has grown in popularity to the extent that it is now easily available in both rural areas and urban centers alike. It has gone viral among people after appearing frequently on social media and food vlogs.

Actress and dancer Navya Nair recently shared a video on social media of her visit to a shop near Pala to enjoy this dish. The video shows her dining with her parents, son, and brother.

"While returning from Thekkady, we took a slight detour, and ended up at ‘Mohan Chettan’s Tea Shop,’ a place on Kannan’s viral Instagram bucket list. A must-try: banana fritters with beef curry, and traditional tea. The taste of the food was amazing, and Mohan Chettan and his brother’s warmth and hospitality made it a joyful experience," Navya wrote in the caption accompanying the video.
