'I can no longer tolerate this...I sought treatment for anxiety and depression': Honey Rose

Actress Honey Rose, who filed a harassment complaint against businessman Bobby Chemmanur, said she will continue her legal battle against those responsible for the sexual and verbal abuse she faced on social media.
Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, she said that the harassment had become unbearable, prompting her to file a complaint.
Honey Rose said, "For a long time, my family and I have been going through emotional turmoil. Neither I nor anyone else should have to face such abuse. The problem began when I attended an event hosted by this person. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction and distancing myself from other events involving him, he continued making offensive comments and gestures toward me. It was extremely sexually inappropriate. The harassment continued through social media comment sections and inbox messages. I had no choice but to move forward with a complaint."
She further stated, "He responded to me on various platforms with sexual innuendo and body-shaming gestures. The abuse worsened only after I collaborated with his organization. That’s when I decided to file the complaint. This won’t end here. It’s not about ending it, but standing up for what is right. I have never been part of any controversy in all these years, but I can no longer tolerate this for myself or my family."
Honey Rose also explained that she initially refrained from mentioning names in her posts. "I intentionally didn’t mention any names in the initial posts. After taking time to review the legal aspects, I’ve now chosen to name him. The attacks and insults have affected both me and my family. Recently, I sought treatment for anxiety and depression. The pain I’ve endured has stemmed from people like him in society. If I don’t take a stand now, I feel like I won't be able to live with myself. That's what led me to pursue legal action."
When asked whether her name and photo could be used in news related to the legal proceedings, Honey Rose responded, "Yes, my name and photo should be used. It was my name they used for the harassment, so it is only right that my name be used in the news concerning my legal battle."
