‘Nerve was injured, could have lost movement’: Vinayakan discharged after ‘Aadu 3’ injury

Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Vinayakan, who was injured while filming a fight scene for the upcoming movie Aadu 3, has been discharged from hospital. The actor, who sustained injuries during the shoot in Thiruvananthapuram, had been admitted to a private hospital in Kochi a few days ago and was released on Wednesday evening.
“My neck nerve was injured. I only learned this two days ago. Otherwise, I could have lost my mobility,” Vinayakan told the media. He continues to experience difficulty with speaking and walking.
Vinayakan sought treatment after experiencing discomfort following the injury. An MRI scan revealed severe muscle damage and nerve injury, prompting immediate medical care.
Aadu 3 is the third instalment of the Aadu franchise, which first released in 2015 under the direction of Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film is slated for an Eid release on 19 March next year. It is being produced by Venu Kunnappilly under Kavya Film Company and Vijay Babu under Friday Film House.
The film features Vinayakan alongside Vijay Babu, Saiju Kurup, Sunny Wayne, and Indrans in lead roles, with Jayasurya reprising his character as Shaji Papan. The cinematography is handled by Akhil George, music by Shaan Rahman, and editing by Lijo Paul.
