According to reports, Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt have decided to keep their wedding private, with around 100 to 150 guests expected to attend.

The guest list is said to include only close friends, immediate family members and a handful of people from the film industry. Reports also suggest that Aamir and Gauri personally put together the guest list rather than leaving the arrangements to others.

The couple will reportedly marry under the Special Marriage Act

Reports suggest that the celebrations will begin with the couple officially registering their marriage under the Special Marriage Act.

Following the registration, an intimate lunch has reportedly been planned for the guests. The menu is expected to feature some of Aamir and Gauri's favourite dishes, with the couple said to be closely involved in planning the meal.

Their children and close family members are expected to be part of the ceremony.

Among the guests likely to attend are filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, one of Aamir's longtime friends, and director Raj Kumar Santoshi, who directed Batwara, a film produced by Aamir.

Aamir recently spoke about the wedding during a screening of Pritam and Pedro, confirming that the ceremony will take place on July 5.

"Haan meri shaadi ho rahi hai July 5 ko aur bahut hi choti shaadi hai, ghar mein hi kar rahe hain. 5 ko bahut hi khaas din hai humare liye aur bas dono families hain, kuch khaas dost hain, chota sa ghar pe hi kar rahe hain hum log. Aur sabki duaein chahenge hum."

(Yes, I'm getting married on July 5. It's going to be a very intimate wedding, and we're having it at home. July 5 is a very special day for us. It will be a small ceremony with just our families and a few close friends. We're keeping it simple and celebrating at home. We would love to have everyone's blessings.)

His comments confirmed what had been widely reported, that the couple are opting for a low-key celebration rather than a lavish event.

Who is Gauri Spratt?

Gauri Spratt is originally from Bengaluru, where she spent most of her life.

She is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned a salon in the city. According to reports, she studied at Blue Mountains School before completing the FDA Styling & Photography course at the University of the Arts London in 2004.

The profile also states that she currently runs a BBlunt salon in Mumbai. According to reports, she is also the mother of a seven-year-old child.

A new beginning after two previous marriages

This will be Aamir Khan's third marriage.

The actor married Reena Dutta in 1986, and the couple separated in 2002. They have two children, Junaid and Ira. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. Although the couple announced their separation in 2021, they continue to co-parent their son, Azad.

Over the years, Aamir has spoken warmly about both Reena and Kiran, saying they continue to remain an important part of his life despite the end of their marriages.
