‘A little girl...’ Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram celebrate arrival of first child

New Delhi: Actor Randeep Hooda and his wife, actor-entrepreneur Lin Laishram, have joyfully announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl.

The couple shared the news on their Instagram handles with a heartfelt collaborative post on Tuesday. The first image showed Hooda's father holding the newborn, followed by a close-up of the little one’s tiny hand. She was born on the same day as Hooda’s father, adding to the family celebrations.

"Happy birthday to grandfather and granddaughter. Today, as I become a father, my appreciation for you has only grown deeper, Papa. And most importantly, Lin, thank you for making me a father and for bringing our little girl into this world. A little girl, and a lifetime of love," Hooda wrote in the caption.

Hooda, known for films like Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Rang Rasiya, Highway, and Sarbjit, had been in a relationship with Laishram for several years before they made their bond official on Instagram in 2022. The couple tied the knot in 2023 at Chumthang Sanapung in Imphal, in a wedding conducted according to traditional Meitei rituals. The ceremony included the bride circling the seated groom seven times and the exchanging of floral garlands (kundo) amid cheers from guests.

Hooda’s most recent film was Jaat, released in 2025, while Laishram last appeared in the 2023 film Jaane Jaan alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan.
