The makers of Yash's upcoming action drama ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ have released the film's first song, 'Tabaahi', giving fans a fresh look at one of the year's most-awaited releases. The music video, unveiled on Wednesday, puts the spotlight on Yash and Kiara Advani, whose on-screen pairing has already become a talking point.

Tabaahi introduces the romantic side of Toxic, with Yash and Kiara sharing several emotional moments throughout the music video.

Set against a grand visual backdrop, the song combines sweeping locations, dramatic storytelling, powerful guitar sections and orchestral music to create a memorable first glimpse into the world of the film. The chemistry between the lead pair is one of the biggest highlights of the video.

Sharing the song on social media, production house KVN Productions quoted a line by Rumi, writing, "Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, There is a field. I'll meet you there." The post also confirmed that Toxic will release in cinemas worldwide on 26 August 2026.

The song's launch was teased through a playful exchange on social media earlier this week.

On July 7, the official Toxic account posted, "What do you call a forbidden love that only exists in stolen time?" while tagging Kiara Advani.

Kiara replied with a single word: "Tabaahi."

Soon after, Zee Music Company joined the conversation by reposting her response with the message, "Stay Tuned...", leaving fans guessing until the song's official release.

Vishal Mishra opens up about composing the track

Tabaahi has been composed and sung by Vishal Mishra, with Hindi lyrics written by Raj Shekhar. The song has been released in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

Speaking about the track, Vishal Mishra said "Tabaahi isn't a love song in the conventional sense. It's love as wreckage, as surrender, as fire that doesn't ask permission. Toxic demanded music that could hold that intensity, epic and intimate at once. Yash Bhai brings a rare conviction to the screen that I tried to match note for note. Tabaahi, for me, was about chasing that raw, unfiltered pulse of love, the kind that consumes before it comforts."

The regional versions feature lyrics by Yogaraj Bhat (Kannada), Ramajogayya Sastry (Telugu), Vignesh Shivan (Tamil) and Rafeeq Ahammed (Malayalam).
