‘The music lives on’: Anirudh pens ‘Thank You’ note for Thalapathy Vijay in emotional post

For years, Anirudh Ravichander and Vijay have shared a musical partnership that has given fans some of the biggest songs and moments in Tamil cinema. With ‘Jana Nayagan’ marking their fifth collab and Vijay’s final film before he steps away from cinema, Anirudh has now shared an emotional message for the actor.
Taking to Instagram, Anirudh shared a picture with Vijay from ‘Thalapathy Kacheri’, in which he makes a special appearance. Looking back at their journey together, the composer wrote, “It has been a thoroughly amazing and emotional journey with you through JanaNayagan, Leo, Beast, Master and Kaththi. Thank you @actorvijay sir for the unlimited trust and memories that I will cherish forever. The music lives on.”

Their collaboration began with ‘Kaththi’ and continued with ‘Master’, ‘Beast’ and ‘Leo’ before finally coming together for ‘Jana Nayagan’. Across the five films, their bonding has delivered several songs and musical moments that have become closely associated with Vijay's screen presence.

Now, with ‘Jana Nayagan’, marking Vijay's final film as he moves towards a new chapter outside cinema, Anirudh's words carry the emotion of a farewell to a most spectacular bond that was loved widely and one that has lasted over a decade.
Meanwhile, at the box office, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has now crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the Indian box office, continuing its impressive theatrical run. The H Vinoth directorial witnessed another jump on its first Sunday, collecting an estimated Rs 32 crore net on day 4, according to early estimates by Sacnilk.
