Mumbai: Legendary German rock band Scorpions have cancelled their ‘Coming Home’ India Tour 2026, leaving fans across the country disappointed. The announcement was made on Saturday by BookMyShow Live, citing health issues affecting members of the band.

The band had been scheduled to perform four shows across India later this month, marking a much-anticipated return. The cancelled dates include Shillong (April 21), Delhi-NCR (April 24), Bengaluru (April 26) and Mumbai (April 30).

In an official statement, promoters said the decision was taken due to "unforeseen medical circumstances affecting the band members."

While further details were not disclosed, the statement added, "The band are very keen to perform in India when possible and within their schedule."

Ticketing partner BookMyShow confirmed that refunds will be automatically processed for all ticket holders. The company said the amount will be credited back to the original mode of payment within 7–10 working days, with no action required from customers.

The sudden cancellation came as a surprise to many, with some fans reporting that they had received physical tickets just hours before the announcement.

The development sparked strong reactions on social media, with several fans expressing “heartbreak” over the abrupt cancellation of the tour.

About the band

The German hard rock and heavy metal band was formed in Hanover in 1965 by guitarist Rudolf Schenker.

Over the decades, the band’s most iconic and successful line-up featured Schenker, vocalist Klaus Meine, lead guitarist Matthias Jabs, bassist Francis Buchholz, and drummer Herman Rarebell. This line-up remained together from 1978 to 1992 and is widely regarded as the group’s defining era.

Schenker has been the only constant member since the band’s formation. Meine joined in 1969 and has remained a key figure ever since, while Jabs has been part of the group continuously since 1978.

In recent years, the band’s line-up includes bassist Pawel Maciwoda, who joined in 2003, and drummer Mikkey Dee, who became part of the band in 2016.
