‘Something’s off’: Justin Bieber seen smoking, dancing strangely at Coachella worries fans

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has raised concern among fans after videos surfaced of him at the Coachella music festival’s second weekend, appearing visibly agitated while dancing and allegedly smoking what looked like a joint. The footage, widely shared on social media, has reignited speculation about the 31-year-old singer’s physical and mental health, as well as his personal life.
In one viral clip, Bieber is seen lighting and smoking what is believed to be marijuana. In another, he is seen dancing in what fans described as a “forceful” or unnatural manner during Kendrick Lamar’s performance of Not Like Us. The videos prompted a wave of worry from fans on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), with some questioning whether the singer was under the influence of substances or being pressured by others around him.
One fan wrote, “Is Justin Bieber ok?” while another claimed he appeared “unusually thin and weak.” A more alarming post even alleged Bieber was being “forced to dance with gang members while on drugs,” though there is no evidence supporting such claims.
Bieber’s representative has strongly denied the drug use rumours, calling them “exhausting and pitiful.” In a statement to TMZ, the spokesperson criticised the media and online speculation, stating, “Despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
This is not the first time Bieber’s behaviour has triggered public concern. In February 2025, he drew attention at a Los Angeles event for swaying erratically and grinning widely, leading to fresh rumours about his well-being. At the time, his representative dismissed similar concerns.
Adding to the unease, a former crew member told The Hollywood Reporter that those close to the singer had long been worried about his direction. “It’s watching the embodiment of someone not living their purpose,” the source said. “There’s no one protecting him because there’s no one willing to say no to him.”
Bieber’s team refuted those claims as well, calling the comments “clickbait stupidity” made by individuals who no longer work with the singer.
Meanwhile, rumours about a potential rift between Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber have also been circulating, though no official statement has been issued by the couple. Fans continue to express concern, urging Bieber to prioritise his health and well-being.
