Kochi: Mammootty, the timeless face of Malayalam cinema, has reigned on screen for more than fifty years. Revered for his unmatched range, he has moved seamlessly between fiery mass roles and deeply nuanced characters, raising the bar for Indian cinema with every passing decade.

His journey began with the 1971 classic Anubhavangal Paalichakal and has never lost its spark — recent blockbusters like Bheeshma Parvam (2022) and Kannur Squad (2023) stand as proof that the megastar still rules the industry with ease.

Born on September 7, 1951, Mammootty marks his 74th birthday this year — the perfect occasion to revisit not only his extraordinary career but also his immense net worth, his upcoming ventures, and the much-anticipated first film alongside his son Dulquer Salmaan.

Mammootty’s Wealth and Assets

As per reports from Moneycontrol, Mammootty’s net worth is estimated to be around ₹340 crore. A major chunk of this comes from his acting fees, which can reportedly go as high as ₹10 crore per film. In addition, lucrative brand endorsements and vast real estate investments contribute to his fortune — ranging from premium properties in Kerala, Chennai and Bengaluru to a luxurious lakeside mansion in Kochi and homes abroad in Dubai.

Beyond acting, Mammootty has expanded into business, with ownership stakes in ventures like Kairali TV, as well as theatre chains, production houses and his own distribution banners, Playhouse and Mammootty Kampany.

Teaming Up with Dulquer Salmaan

Although the legendary actor and his son Dulquer have never shared screen space before, fans finally have reason to celebrate. Their first collaboration is now underway.

The project, titled Kalamkaval, sees Mammootty essaying a dark, menacing character named Cyanide Mohan, while Dulquer steps in as the younger version of the same role. Directed by Jithin K Jose and produced under the Mammootty Kampany banner, the film is in its final stages of post-production. The teaser has already created a stir, and the film is expected to be released before the end of the year.

Upcoming Releases

  • Kalamkaval: Mammootty’s much-discussed psychological action thriller featuring Dulquer as his younger self, expected in theatres by early October, though the official release date is awaited.
  • MMMN: A star-studded collaboration with filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan, featuring Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara and Kunchako Boban. Bankrolled by Anto Joseph, CR Salim and Shubash Manuel, this big-ticket entertainer is eyeing a late-2025 release.
  • Amal Neerad Project: If buzz is to be believed, Mammootty’s birthday may also bring an announcement of his next outing with director Amal Neerad — their third venture together after Big B and Bheeshma Parvam.
