Inside Prasad’s new Dolby Atmos-powered preview theatre for filmmakers in Hyderabad

Prasad has launched a Premium Preview Theatre at its Hyderabad studio, expanding its post-production and screening infrastructure for filmmakers.

The new facility is designed to provide directors, producers and creative teams with a theatre-like environment to review edits, conduct internal screenings and host exclusive previews with high-quality visual and audio precision.

The preview theatre is equipped with a Dolby Atmos sound system and a DCI-compliant native 4K Christie digital cinema projection setup, aimed at delivering an immersive cinematic experience. 

The facility also includes acoustically optimised interiors, premium seating, a dedicated lobby and supporting amenities for private showcases, media interactions and industry events.

The launch forms part of Prasad’s phased infrastructure enhancement initiative across its studios.

Speaking about the development, Abhishek Prasad said the preview theatre was built around a “crucial moment in the filmmaking journey” where films need to be experienced exactly as intended.

Alongside the new theatre, Prasad has upgraded its dubbing suites with advanced recording systems and enhanced acoustics, while continuing to expand its high-end post-production capabilities, including one of the world’s largest HDR grading suites at its Chennai facility.
