Arjun Rampal calls Mohanlal ‘supremely talented’ after ‘Operation Ganga’ shoot

Mumbai: Actor Arjun Rampal has spoken about his experience of sharing screen space with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the upcoming film ‘Operation Ganga’, describing the opportunity as an honour and an inspirational experience. 

Rampal shared pictures with Mohanlal on Instagram and praised the veteran actor’s talent. He wrote, “Such an honour to have the privilege to share screen space with you Sir. It has been inspirational. The supremely talented and gifted @mohanlal. Thank you,”

The actor also used hashtags associated with ‘Operation Ganga’, Georgia and Tbilisi, suggesting that the film was shot in the region.

‘Operation Ganga’ marks the first time Rampal and Mohanlal will be seen sharing the screen. The film is directed by Vishnu Mohan and was officially announced earlier this month.

The title refers to India’s evacuation operation to bring back its citizens, including a large number of students, who were stranded in Ukraine following the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

The film also features Bhagyashri Borse and Adil Hussain in key roles. Mohanlal announced the project on Instagram by sharing its poster and captioning it, “Operation Ganga,”

The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.

Mohanlal was last seen in ‘Drishyam 3’, the third instalment of the ‘Drishyam’ franchise directed by Jeethu Joseph. He also starred in ‘Thudakkam’.

Meanwhile, Rampal recently announced the completion of Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film ‘O Saathi Re’, which also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Avinash Tiwary.

Following the wrap, Rampal spent time with Ali and Hydari and shared pictures from their get-together on Instagram. The actor said he was excited about the project and would miss the team.

“Wrapped something very special, with some very talented special people. Will miss you guys. Was lovely to be directed finally by my college friend @imtiazaliofficial #OsathiRe #Netflix,” he wrote.

Rampal was last seen in the action thriller ‘Dhurandhar 2’, starring Ranveer Singh.
