MG Sreekumar lends voice to Nivin Pauly for first time as 'BKU' unveils first song
The first song from "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit", featuring Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju together for the first time, has been officially released. Titled 'Maanthrikam', the song sung by M.G. Sreekumar has been composed by Vishnu Vijay, with lyrics penned by Vinayak Sasikumar. This marks the very first time M.G. Sreekumar has rendered a song for Nivin Pauly. The film is scheduled for an Onam theatrical release on August 21.
The recent release announcement poster, showing the lead characters walking along a railway platform carrying bags, was warmly received by fans. Positioned as a romantic comedy, the film is expected to offer a festive treat of laughter in theatres this Onam.
The film is directed by Girish A.D., who has established himself among the hit directors of Malayalam cinema within a short span. Girish A.D. achieved widespread acclaim through the blockbusters "Thanneer Mathan Dinangal", "Super Sharanya", and "Premalu". Audience expectations are high as the renowned production banner Bhavana Studios collaborates with Nivin Pauly for the first time.
This project is the sixth production venture from Bhavana Studios and its immediate release following the blockbuster "Premalu". The film is produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios. The script is co-written by Girish A.D. and Kiran Josey.
The film features an extensive ensemble cast including Sangeeth Prathap, Suresh Krishna, Bindu Panicker, Vinay Forrt, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Shameer Khan, Srinda, Parvathy Ayyappadas, and Meenakshi Raveendran. Principal photography spanned over a hundred days across locations such as Chalakudy, Pollachi, Goa, Hyderabad, and Kuttikkanam.
