Bad Bunny's Super Bowl Halftime Show takes home seven Emmys
Bad Bunny is officially an Emmy winner.
The 32-year-old Puerto Rican superstar, born Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, picked up his first-ever Emmy on Saturday night, September 5, at the first of two Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremonies held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
Bad Bunny wasn't in attendance, but he still walked away a winner as a producer and performer on the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show and many of the collaborators who made the performance with him were there to celebrate in person.
The halftime show was nominated for nine Emmys and won seven of them, making it one of the most decorated productions of the night.
Bad Bunny took home Outstanding Variety Special (Live) for the show, an award he shares as a producer alongside a team that includes Jay-Z, who picks up his second win in the category as an executive producer.

The show's medley featured a run-through some of Bad Bunny's biggest hits, staged as a tightly choreographed, multi-part performance.
That staging paid off across the board. Choreographers Charm La'Donna and Karina Ortiz won Outstanding Choreography for Variety or Reality Programming for their work on the performance.
Hamish Hamilton won Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, and Miguel Gandelman took home Outstanding Music Direction.
The production also swept the technical side of the ledger, winning Outstanding Lighting Design/Lighting Direction for a Special, Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Variety Series or Special, and Outstanding Technical Direction and Camerawork for a Special.
The only categories the halftime show didn't convert into wins were Production Design for a Variety Special, which went to ‘The Muppet Show’, and one additional nomination among its nine total.
With seven wins out of nine nominations, the Halftime Show was one of the biggest stories of Creative Arts Emmys Night One, alongside major nights for ‘The Traitors’ and ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’.
